What this site is
MensGoldChains.com is an independent publisher covering men's gold chains. We explain how gold actually works — karat and purity, solid versus plated versus filled, chain styles, sizing, real-versus-fake testing, and what a chain is genuinely worth — so you can buy with the same knowledge the person selling it has. We're not a jeweler, a manufacturer, or a retailer. We don't hold inventory and we don't sell gold.
Why it exists
Gold is a category where confusion is profitable for sellers. The difference between a fair price and a rip-off often comes down to a few facts — the karat, whether a chain is solid or hollow, what the gold weighs, and what the metal is worth that day. Those facts are scattered across spec sheets, forums, and sales pitches. We pull them into one place, in plain language, with tools that do the math for you.
How we keep it honest
Our standard is simple and non-negotiable:
- We don't fabricate specifications, prices, star ratings, or review counts.
- We don't claim to have hands-on-tested products we haven't.
- Gold prices change daily, so our calculators use the live price you enter — we never bake in a stale number.
- Where we recommend a place to buy, we tell you what to verify yourself before you trust it — the karat, the weight, the stamp.
How we make money
This is a free site funded by affiliate commissions. When you buy through some of our links, the retailer pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which products or styles we recommend. The full explanation is on our affiliate disclosure page.
